Store-bought candy, for sure.
Jag fick ta del av ett nostalgiskt mejl, som just nu cirkulerar från kust till kust "over there".
Mejlförfattaren skriver "Om du är under 30, se det som en historielektion och skicka vidare till ett gäng andra ungar".
Ur mejlet:
"I miss those made-up marketing words that were meant to sound so modern and now sounds so retro. Words like DynaFlow and Electrolux. Introducing the 1963 Admiral TV now with SpectraVision!
"Coast to coast" is a phrase that once held all sorts of excitement and now means almost nothing. Now we take the term "world wide" for granted.
Here´s a phrase I heard all the time in my youth but never anymore - "store-bought". Of course, just about everything is store-bought these days. But once it was bragging rights to have a store-bought dress or a store-bought cookie or even better, a bag of store-bought candy."
Fler 1950-talsord - och så säger man i dag
Percolator - coffee maker
Picture show - movie.
Being in a family way - pregnant
PS Motsvarigheter härhemma: "rikssamtal", "köpebröd" och "vara på det viset".
